Spinscreen Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Spinscreen and is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. We may update this AUP from time to time; the current version is always linked from the Terms of Service.
If we believe you have violated this AUP, we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice: remove offending content, suspend or terminate your account, restrict access to features, refer the matter to law enforcement, and pursue any other remedies available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
1. You must not use the Service to
1.1 Post or distribute illegal or harmful content
- Content that infringes any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, right of publicity, right of privacy, or other intellectual property or proprietary right.
- Content that is defamatory, libelous, or knowingly false in a way that causes harm.
- Content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful.
- Content that promotes or facilitates violence, terrorism, self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Content that depicts, sexualizes, or solicits minors in any sexual context. We will report any such content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
- Content that infringes export control or sanctions laws.
1.2 Harm or harass other users
- Bullying, harassing, threatening, intimidating, or stalking any individual.
- Posting another person's private or identifying information (doxxing) without their consent.
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempting to identify, de-anonymize, or otherwise compromise the privacy of holders of pseudonymous Spinscreen identities.
1.3 Compromise the Service or other systems
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any Spinscreen system or breaching any security or authentication measure.
- Accessing or attempting to access any account, data, or system you are not authorized to access.
- Interfering with service to any user, host, or network, including by means of overloading, flooding, mailbombing, or crashing.
- Introducing malware, viruses, ransomware, worms, trojans, time bombs, or any other code intended to cause harm.
- Forging headers, identifiers, or routing information for any message or transmission.
1.4 Misuse data, scraping, or automation
- Using any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Service or any data within the Service, except as expressly permitted by our public APIs.
- Circumventing rate limits, quotas, or usage caps.
- Aggregating, copying, duplicating, or republishing material from the Service for resale or for another commercial purpose without our express written permission.
- Using the Service to build, train, or improve any product or model that competes with the Service.
1.5 Compete or commercialize improperly
- Reselling, sublicensing, leasing, or commercially exploiting access to the Service except as expressly permitted by the Terms of Service.
- Using the Service to develop a competing product or service.
- Using the Service to send spam, unsolicited commercial communications, chain letters, or pyramid schemes.
1.6 Misuse Direct Sync or third-party platforms
- Using Direct Sync or any other Spinscreen feature in a way that violates the terms of service or other rules of any third-party streaming, broadcast, or media platform. You are solely responsible for compliance with third-party terms — see Section 9 of the Terms of Service.
1.7 Misrepresent rights to user content
- Posting User Content that you do not own or do not have all necessary rights to post.
- Posting User Content that violates the rights of any individual depicted in it (for example, posting a video of someone without their consent where consent is required).
2. Specific rules for organization accounts
If you operate an organization account that authors Experiences for the consumer Service, you additionally agree:
- You will accurately represent the source, sponsorship, and affiliation of your Experiences. You will not falsely imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation by any media provider, brand, athlete, or other person.
- You will comply with applicable advertising laws, including the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides for any sponsored or promotional content.
- You will not use Experiences to deliver malware, phishing, deceptive product claims, or content that violates Section 1 of this AUP.
- You are responsible for the conduct of users you invite to your organization.
3. Reporting violations
If you encounter content or behavior that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to support@spinscreen.io with as much detail as possible (URLs, screenshots, timestamps). For copyright matters specifically, follow the DMCA Procedure. For security vulnerabilities, please email support@spinscreen.io with the subject line "Security Report"; we will not pursue legal action against good-faith security researchers who follow coordinated-disclosure norms.
4. Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability:
- Remove, edit, or disable any content that violates this AUP.
- Suspend, restrict, or terminate any account that violates this AUP.
- Cooperate with law enforcement in connection with violations of this AUP or applicable law.
- Pursue any other remedy available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we may do so. We are not responsible for the content posted by users.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Effective date" and "Version" at the top will be updated when we do. A change history is maintained at docs/legal/CHANGELOG.md.
